Assistant Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, bookkeeping, and record maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain vouchers, invoices, bills, and receipts.
- Support in accounts payable & receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor/supplier accounts.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Support senior accountants during audits and compliance checks.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain cash books.
- Coordinate with internal departments for expense management and approvals.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related tasks assigned by the management.
- Handle the bank regarding work also. (Cheque deposit and other documents query)
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally Prime / Zoho).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com, M.Com or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Must have a bike with a licence.
- Mandatory experience in the manufacturing industry.
